ARTICLE 2 (A) Each State Party shall communicate to the other States Parties the names and addresses of the officials authorized to issue the certificate of origin and shall present their reasons for signature and their official seals. APPLICATION FOR THE ISSUE OF A CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN ARTICLE 5 When examining the formalities relating to the export of products under preferential treatment, the exporter or his authorized representative shall present the duly completed certificate of origin attesting that a certificate of origin may be issued for the products to be exported. PRE-EXPORT VERIFICATION ARTICLE 6 The issuing authority shall, at each application for a certificate of origin, carry out an appropriate examination in due form to ensure that: (a) the certificate of origin is duly completed and signed by the authorised representative; (b) the origin of the product complies with the rules of origin of this Agreement; (c) the other declarations/entries in the certificate of origin comply with the supporting documents submitted; (d) HS code, f.-o.b. .
