(b) A CRNP with the current authorization of the prescriptive authority by the Board may prescribe, dispense and administer medicinal products and therapeutic or corrective measures, in accordance with the cooperation agreement of the prescriptive authority, relevant to the specialty CRNPs of the following categories: CRNP-Certified Registered Nurse Practition-A professional nurse licensed in that Commonwealth and certified by the board in a specialty and who, while playing an increased role as a professional nurse, shall, in collaboration with a medical practitioner licensed in that Commonwealth, and in accordance with the law and this sub-chapter, make medical diagnoses or prescriptions for therapeutic or corrective medical measures. Nothing in this sub-chapter is to be regarded as a restriction or prohibition of a professional nurse on the exercise of activities which constitute the practice of professional nursing care within the meaning of section 2 of the Act (63 P.S. § 212). This section is classified in 28 Pa. Code § 107.12a (with respect to certain professional statements of policy personnel). (3) A statement relating to the educational preparation and care experience of employed faculty members, which meets section 21.367(b) (with respect to faculty requirements for CRNP programs). (2) Order, perform and monitor diagnostic tests for patients and, insofar as the interpretation of diagnostic tests is within the scope of the specialty of CRNPs and is compatible with the cooperation agreement, to be able to interpret diagnostic tests.

(c) students admitted to CRNP programs must have successfully completed the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited university in a program of care. .
